Kathryn Meola

Kathryn ("Kathy") Meola is President for the 2024 WLS Board. Kathy is a Partner with the law firm of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo. Prior to joining the firm, Kathy was General Counsel to California School Board Association's General Counsel, the first woman to serve in that position in the organization’s 88-year history. Prior to joining CSBA, Kathy was a public servant for the County of San Mateo for almost 25 years. As a Chief Deputy for the San Mateo County Counsel's Office, she led the office's school law practice, providing representation for school and community college districts. Prior to joining the County Counsel's Office, Kathy worked as a Deputy District Attorney, where she tried more than 50 jury trials to verdict, including cases such as homicide, felony domestic violence and sexual assault.
