WLS MEMBER EVENT: DISCUSSION ON THE CURRENT STATE OF ABORTION RIGHTS AT THE SUPREME COURT

Join WLS and University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law Professor Ederlina Co, for a presentation on the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision rejecting a request for an emergency injunction against Texas Senate Bill 8.

Professor Co, an expert in the area of reproductive rights and justice, will discuss how Senate Bill 8 effectively blocks abortions after six weeks of pregnancy, as well as the potential impact of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, for which the U.S. Supreme Court recently granted certiorari to consider the constitutionality of Mississippi’s 15-week abortion ban. She will also discuss action items for our community as lawyers and concerned citizens.

This event is FREE and qualifies for 1 hour of MCLE, Elimination of Bias credit.
