Jamie Mauhay powers
Jamie Mauhay Powers is an advocate for social justice and community empowerment, with a background spanning government, nonprofit advocacy, and law. Born in Davao City, Philippines, Jamie pursued career in law after a decade-long tenure in the California Legislature, where she worked as a Legislative Aide, then moved on to be a Chief of Staff. Transitioning to nonprofit advocacy, Jamie worked with organizations like the Child Abuse Prevention Center and Head Start California, championing policies for vulnerable children and families. Her dedication to justice led her to law school, where she graduated magna cum laude from Lincoln Law School in Sacramento. She began her legal career focusing on mass tort litigation where she managed and coordinated complex cases involving large-scale plaintiff groups. Currently, she works at Clarkson Law, continuing her dedication to advocating for clients by representing survivors of sexual assault and victims of fertility negligence. Jamie is also an adjunct professor at Lincoln Law School where she teaches Business Associations. Outside work, Jamie enjoys yoga, traveling, and spending time with her husband and dog.
