Heather balog
Heather Balog is Co-Chair of the Legislation and Bar Delegations Committee. Heather is an associate attorney with the law firm Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo, where she primarily conducts administrative investigations for school districts, community college districts, and county offices of education involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, Title V and Title IX violations, and employee misconduct. Prior to joining AALRR, Heather practiced employment law litigation in the Bay Area.
Heather received her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, and earned BAs in Political, Legal, and Economic Analysis and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Mills College in Oakland. During law school, Heather served as President of Women and Law and received the Rookie Award from the Queen’s Bench Bar Association for organizing a service day designed for underrepresented and underserved college students interested in a career in the legal profession. She also served as a judicial extern for Magistrate Judge Allison Claire of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California in Sacramento. Heather lives in Folsom with her husband (cidermaker at Auburn’s Ponderosa Cider), where she spends her spare time cooking, writing, and kayaking on Lake Natoma. |
